한-EU 연구협력센터가 발간하는 How do EU do? 시리즈는 EU 및 유럽 국가가 오픈 액세스, 연구 윤리, 성평등, 시민 과학과 같이 과학 및 사회와 관련된 이슈를 어떻게 다루고 있는 지를 조사하고 소개합니다.
이번 호는 5월 5일 어린이날 및 지난해 체결된 한-EU 디지털 파트너십을 기념하여 EU가 어떻게 아동 및 청소년을 위한 디지털 정책을 펼치고 있는 지를 조사하였습니다.
특히 동 핸드북은 '아동 권리 전략', '유럽아동보장 정책', '아동을 위한 더 나은 인터넷 전략'을 중심으로 디지털 시대의 아동 및 청소년을 위한 EU 정책을 소개하며, 이와 더불어 다른 EU 정책들이 어떻게 디지털 세계에서 아동의 권리를 보호하는 지를 소개합니다. 부록은 EU 아동청소년의 온라인 사용 현황에 대한 간단한 통계 자료를 제공합니다.
'How do EU do?' series launched by the KERC in 2021 provides the information on how the EU and European countries deal with the issues concerning the Science-Society relationship such as open access, gender equality, research ethics, citizen science, etc. The main objective of this initiative is to contribute to the relevant policy-making and activities in Korea.
This new handbook, in commemoration of 'Korean Children's Day(5 May)' and in support of the Korea-EU digital partnership signed last year, lays out the overview of how the EU is implementing digital policies for children and young people.
With a special emphasis on the European strategy for a Better Internet for Children(BIK+ Strategy), it focuses on the Commission's general strategy on the Rights of the Child(ROC Strategy) and the Council recommendation establishing a European Child Guarantee(ECG).
In addition to that, it also explains how the other European policies protect and promote the rights of children in digital world.
