The Aston Institute for Membrane Excellence from Aston University in Birmingham is currently seeking to establish new research collaboration with early-career researchers based in South Korea. There are two exciting opportunities available:
- An early career researcher is sought to develop a 3D multi-cellular system to study host-pathogen interactions using light sheet microscopy. This project aims to better understand the dynamics of Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection and improve the therapeutic efficacy of available treatments.
- A collaboration is sought with an expert in polymer chemistry. The goal is to design and synthesise tailored polymers for membrane protein extraction, enhancing membrane protein structural biology.
The primary aim is to develop a long-term relationship for future joint calls and collaborative projects. For this long-term collaboration, there is no hard deadline, however, it would be appreciated if you could get in touch with us by end-April/early May.
Interested researchers or those who know potential candidates are encouraged to get in touch as soon as possible with Anett Ruszanov (anett.ruszanov@birmingham.gov.uk) from the Greater Birmingham and West Midlands Brussels Office. This is a great opportunity to explore potential collaborations and build a strong partnership for future research endeavours.
