To become a hub university of science and technology in northeastern Seoul
Seoul National University of Science and Technology (hereinafter referred to as SeoulTech) held a committee launching ceremony at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21 at the campus Cube Hall to promote the ‘Three Stages Leaders in Industry-University Cooperation Development Project’ (hereinafter referred to as LINC 3.0).
At the launching ceremony, the project committee introduced key promotion programs related to the project. The programs include an industry-university education support program, industry-university technology development program, ICC (Industry Collaboration Center) support program, laboratory innovative start-up support program, and employment and career support program.
LINC 3.0 is promoted by the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea to foster future talent and entrepreneurial universities. 12 universities, including SeoulTech (or about 22.6% of 53 universities nationwide), were selected through fierce competition in the Seoul metropolitan area.
SeoulTech will receive an annual budget of 4 billion won and a total of 24 billion won for up to six years from 2022 until 2027. In addition, SeoulTech has also been newly selected for the Seoul Metropolitan City’s corresponding investment project and will receive an additional annual budget of 120 million won for six years.
