Korea-EU Research Centre (KERC) was established in 2013 with a mission to promote the R&I cooperation
between Korea and EU as a platform to facilitate policy and research collaboration
Main Roles
Office to the EU
The KERC is the center of information on Korea-EU R&I cooperation. We collect vast amounts of knowledge, share them through newsletters and publications, and build a database which is open and accessible to everyone.
NCP Coordinator
The Korean Horizon Europe Office based in Europe.
It supports the entire lifecycle of Horizon Europe and coordinates National Contact Point (NCP) activities.
NCP Coordinator
Coordinates National Strategic R&D Centres across Europe, providing a single access point for Korean researchers and connecting six leading organisations to share information and resources.

COORDINATIONKERC coordinates Korea-EU cooperation across science and ICT policy.
We support bilateral collaboration with European countries and coordinate Korean participation in Horizon Europe and other EU programmes with connected Korean institutions.

NETWORKINGKERC expands partnerships and collaboration pipelines across the Korea-EU R&I community. We foster sustainable research networks through shared expertise and interests.

INFORMATIONKERC provides insights on EU R&I policies, programmes, and trends to strengthen Korea-EU cooperation. We monitor the cooperation landscape, deliver in-depth analysis, and develop agendas and strategies.

FACILITATIONKERC supports researchers and institutions in accessing Horizon Europe programmes and EU collaboration opportunities. We provide researcher support, matchmaking, and networking events throughout the project lifecycle.

OUTREACHKERC promotes awareness and enhances Korea-EU R&I cooperation through communication and engagement. We disseminate results and success stories through publications, online media, and events.
