As the Internet spreads its wide wings across all areas of society, there comes a need for statistics that allow analyses of not only the quantitative growth of Internet usage, such as Internet usage rates and user populations, but also specific Internet usage patterns, Internet usage in people’s daily lives, and its social impacts. This survey aims to provide statistical information that can be widely used for governmental policies, business strategies, and academic research activities through its studies on Internet usage environments and behaviors.
