Event Overview
The Korea-EU Horizon Europe Researchers Consulting Forum is a two-day, in-person event in Brussels co-organized by the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) and the Korea-EU Research Centre (KERC) under the Ministry of Science and ICT. The forum is designed to support Korean researchers in jointly applying for Horizon Europe 2026–2027 calls under Cluster 3: Civil Security for Society, including Cybersecurity, and Cluster 6: Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment.
What to expect?
- The forum will provide Korean and European researchers with an opportunity to explore potential collaboration under Horizon Europe Cluster 3 and Cluster 6 calls. The programme includes an orientation session for Korean participants, an opening plenary and policy session, pitch sessions, consortium-building discussions, and expert-led consulting sessions.
- Korean researchers will be invited to present their research interests during the pitch session, while European coordinators will introduce open positions and collaboration opportunities within their consortia. Participants will also take part in topic- and call-based consortium sessions, where they can discuss project ideas, identify possible roles, and further develop joint application strategies.
- In addition, the forum will offer open consulting and individual group consulting sessions with Horizon Europe specialists. These sessions are designed to provide tailored guidance on consortium development, proposal preparation, and participation strategies for Horizon Europe 2026–2027 calls.
- Participants will also benefit from networking opportunities, including networking dinners and lunches, allowing them to build connections with researchers, coordinators, and experts from Korea and Europe.
